Thanks for the pod casts, they are great! As a long time fan and (casual) scholar, one thing has always bothered me….the relative power of the elves.
For example, we all know that Fingolfin fought and wounded Morgoth 7 times in the First Age. Assuming this is possible, how is it that other long-lived elves in the Third Age (Galadriel, Elron, Cirdan) can not take a more active role in the war?
One would think that Galadriel especially (being described over-and-over as one of the greatest of the Noldor) would be capable of fighting a weakened Sauron (let alone the Nazgul).
I am very curious to hear your insights if possible.
