I haven’t listened to the podcast yet, but I did get 4 hours in on Red Mars on the way home from a trip. I’m about 75% done. Quote from my mother: “not as easy to follow as that other book [WWW:Wonder]”.
But what does she say about the podcast?

Hey guys – Fun podcast. I’ve done 1776 five times over the years, playing Adams, Hancock, Dickinson in various productions. It is actually pretty accurate with the historical facts, although no records were recorded during the actual debate; the play is based on accounts made years later by those who were there – but still, some of the basics are spot on. It’s not a “go out of the theater humming” kind of musical, but the music is quite incredible and well mixed into the text of the story. It’s a fantastic script. I always said you could remove all the songs and the play is still riveting. I have a lot of fond memories of the play. Have fun! cheers from Boston.
