Created as a spinoff from Broken Sea Audio Productions’ GUSU series – Ulysses Galactic Guides and Bounties Inc. follows the adventures of Ulysses and crew. The characters are made up of a New Zealander, a Middle Eastern head in a cybernetic fish-bowl, a nymphomaniac alien babe, and an ancient Chinese mystic. “They don’t go looking for trouble, it finds them.” The latest story arc (the three part “Return of The Red Eye”) has been purely comedic. Future stories will involving free-range freak farming (for the circus side show market), zombies and sex toys.

Dream Realm Enterprises is best know to SFFaudio readers as the proprietors of their popular Robotz of the Company (now in its fourth season). But, they’ve got other shows too including their own version of Doctor Who and a “Misadventures of Sherlock Holmes” series. Their anthology series The Realm Weaver is DRE’s “exciting sci-fi/fantasy/horror/suspense anthology series! Beyond our concept of reality lie things we cannot comprehend. Sometimes they flit across our plane and we notice them in the corner of our eye, or creeping up behind us while we’re alone. They weave back and forth between our realm and theirs, daring us to see…”

The latest installment of The Realm Weaver is entitled Avatar. Here’s the description…

“A story about a boy, a virtual blonde, and how artificial intelligence changes them both. A 21st century “Pygmalion”, with a little “Lysistrata” thrown in.”

Fresh from the depths of LibriVox, Key Out Of Time by Andre Norton is book 4 in the “Time Trader” series. called the “Ross Murdock” and “Time War” series, the connected novels, explored Celtic Europe, and Ice Age America, in “a breathtaking synthesis of anthropology, archeology, and hard science fiction.” Wikipedia calls it a “pivotal exploration of time travel, as a method of fictionally exploring lost cultures.” Very cool. The three later books, penned beginning more than 30 years later, were co-authored by various hands.

BBC 7: Of Withered Apples by Philip K. Dick & Perelandra by C.S. Lewis

This weekend’s offerings on BBC Radio 7 include a Philip K. Dick short story that was first broadcast on BBC7 in September 2003. It was first printed in the July 1954 issue of Cosmos Science Fiction and Fantasy Magazine. And, in the middle of next week the 7th Dimension begins broadcasting the second novel in C.S. Lewis’ “Cosmic Trilogy.” Perelandra was first published in 1943. It makes an allegorical argument in the form of interplanetary adventure. Listeners familiar with the Narnia books will find a familiar morality play at work in Perelandra.

New World Army is a new podcast audio drama by Jeff Roney. Its described as a “Sci-Fi, audio thriller” – it seems to be set in some post-apocalyptic future. Think The Terminator, a Skynet future and zondercommandos. Read the official description:
